Every project can have multiple sections, which you could use to sort your tasks. You can, for example, try splitting your projects up with sections. Five is plenty if that's how you use it, and you can do that while still breaking things down in various ways. I tend to use the projects feature to separate things into broad categories: work, home, and volunteering. But there's no rule that says you have to do that. The most obvious, and the thing Todoist hopes you do, is to upgrade to Todoist Pro. Archive or delete a project, however, and you can't add another project to replace it.
